FGIP has initiated an international campaign to raise awareness about the difficult situation in which persons with psychosocial and physical disability as well as other vulnerable groups find themselves. The widely used term “social distancing” is for them very threatening as they often find themselves in social isolation already and this has increased because of the crisis. FGIP wishes to convince opinion and policy makers as well as the general public to be aware of their plight and to use the more appropriate term of “physical distancing” while paying attention to the social isolation by showing solidarity.
